Controls:

If you cannot pickup matter, your likely holding the most you can carry! Drop it off and see the world Scale
Goal:
The game's interpretation of "Built to Scale" relies heavily on scale meaning to shift size.
You play in a small area with the goal of collecting volatile matter, the act of storing it in your zone creates a shift in the scale of the walls. Choose the direction of the scale to allow more material to become available for pickup.
